This is your life

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

I woke up this morning with the lyrics from a Switchfoot song in my head. “This is your life, are you who you want to be?” I couldn’t stop singing just that one line over and over in my head.

This is your life, no matter whom we want to blame for our problems or shortcomings, this one life is ours. No one can live your life for you, some may try, but all will fail. In the famous words of Dr. Seuss “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

After launching my endeavor, many friends of mine commented how they thought this idea was so exciting and cool, but they only wished they had an idea like this. My response was and will continue to be, it is never too early or late to take your year twenty-four challenge. I am on a journey this year, but I hope that journey never stops. I never want to stop trying new things, and I only hope I can encourage others to do the same.

To those of you who have goals, aspirations, and dreams, try a year twenty four challenge of your own. Make a list of things you want to do in a year, (This next part may seem crazy) then DO THEM! Pull the trigger! Do you want to snorkel with sharks? Maybe you’d like to try sumo wrestling or creating a feature film about the religious endeavors of Mel Gibson.  Do your research, save your money, and then do it. It’s time to start living your life, because only you can do that.

If you are ready to start your Year Twenty Four, let us know in the comments below! We’d be happy to chat and maybe even feature your accomplishments on our site!
